Important to know

• Bring your own charcoal for the grill.
• Bring your own firewood for the campfire.

The house

• Do not use candles or other burning objects inside the house.
• Whenever you leave, close all windows and doors and lock the entrance door.
• Only light the stoves with the host’s permission.
• At check-out, leave the house tidy. You do not need to wash the floors or bed linen.
• Please do not swat mosquitoes on the wallpaper; if it happens, clean the mark with a damp cloth.
• Strong winds or storms may cause brief power cuts, usually restored within 15 minutes.
• Keep the entrance door closed in rain. In sunny weather it may be kept open using the long outside latch.

Kitchen

• Use only Venden water for drinking and cooking.
• Always switch on the extractor fan when cooking on the stove.

Terrace

• Do not use the terrace in strong winds.
• The terrace is available from May to October and is closed in winter.

Lake

• The lake is up to 10 metres deep in the middle.
• The swimming and fishing area is accessed from the jetty.
• The swimming area is shared with Kārkliņi Camping.
• The lake contains tench, roach and pike.

Pond

• Do not dive head first.

Waste

• Waste is sorted into three categories:

1. food
2. deposit bottles, glass, aluminium cans, metal and paper
3. all other waste
